Unit 1 Data,Time & Temperature

Content Emphasis/ Big Ideas

Students will be studying time, temperature, and data throughout the year and this unit is intended to help students begin to solidify their understandings of these topics. Students are expected to tell time to the nearest minute and read temperature in both degrees Fahrenheit and Celsius. Students are also expected to read to various graph formats (i.e., bar graphs and pictographs).

Standards:

 

  • MTH.3.9.a Tell time to the nearest minute, using analog and digital clocks. 
  • MTH.3.9.c Identify equivalent periods of time and solve practical problems related to equivalent periods of time. 
  • MTH.3.10 Read temperature to the nearest degree. 
  • MTH.3.15.a Collect, organize, and represent data in pictographs or bar graphs.
