Parent Volunteers
Volunteers for both school-sponsored and PTA-sponsored activities are welcome and needed at Bull Run. There are both at-school and at-home opportunities to volunteer with various time commitments.
Bull Run is fortunate to have many wonderful volunteers who contribute countless hours supporting the children. We encourage you to join in the fun and visit the school often to share your time and talents to help the faculty, staff and most importantly, the children!
Visitor Management System
Volunteers are required to sign in with an ID and get a visitor’s badge at the school office. Our Visitor Management System requires visitors to scan their ID at each visit. Non-school aged children may not accompany parents when volunteering. They are welcome to visit for lunch in the cafeteria. Parents are welcome to visit the classroom, but should make prior arrangements with the teacher for a time that will not be disruptive to instruction.

FCPS Cares
FCPS Cares is an opportunity for parents, staff, and community members to recognize FCPS employees for going above and beyond to help others and show they care. We invite you to submit your story so we can all acknowledge the good work of FCPS employees.
Business and Community Partnerships
The Business and Community Partnerships office’s primary functions are to recruit and supports Ignite Partnerships, serve as a liaison to local Chambers of Commerce and other community organizations, help lead the annual Collect for Kids school supply drive, manage the FCPS Donations Portal for donated goods, and promote the Savings for Staff merchant discount program.
In the last decade, the Business & Community Partnerships team has helped secure over ten million dollars in donations of money and valued goods through partnerships and direct donations, not including the value of volunteer hours contributed by partners and mentors.
