Hello Bull Run ES Families,
As I am sure you have heard, we are nearing the end of our testing season for the 2023-24 school year! Our students in grades 3 and 5 will take the math SOL this week, our students in grades 1 through 6 are in the process of taking the iReady in mathematics and reading, and our K students are busy doing 1:1 assessments with their classroom teachers.
We value your partnership with the school and understand that our families will want to know their child’s scores. Our preliminary data is looking incredible! Our students have worked so hard this year. Below is the approximate timeline for when the information may be released to families via ParentVue. If you need help accessing ParentVue, please contact the main office at 7032271400.
- Kindergarten - VKRP/PALS: Sent via USPS week of July 8
- Gr. 1-3 iReady: week of June 3 in ParentVUE
- Gr. 4-6 iReady: week of June 24 in ParentVUE
- Gr. 3-6 SOLs: Week of June 3
Thank you for your continued support and partnership,
Jason, Jenna, and James

Attend Today, Achieve Tomorrow. We All Belong Here!
In FCPS and at BRES, we all belong. From the first day of school, to the last day of school, every child matters. If your child is having a hard time finishing the year strong and attending school, please contact their teacher, counselor, or an administrator.
Visit FCPS’ website for more attendance resources.
A Note from the LibraryPer FCPS regulations, all library book circulation stops two weeks before the end of school. This means that all books are due back to the library by Wednesday, May 29. Please begin helping your student(s) by reminding them to find and return any books that are currently overdue. Thank you for your assistance in this matter!

Dear rising 4, 5, and 6 Grade Students and Families,
We want YOU to join our 2024-2025 Bull Run String Orchestra Program! Fairfax County Public School students in grades 4-12 can participate in their school’s String Orchestra Program. Strings classes take place once a week during the regular school day. Classroom instruction is not missed during strings class time. Music and method books are provided by the school.
Our Bull Run Strings students have the opportunity to participate in many exciting events during the school year. Some events may include: Solo Spotlight, Strings Karate and School Concerts. Students who continue to participate in middle and high school are able to go on school field trips, participate in county and state events, Solo & Ensemble Festivals and they gain many lasting friendships.
Please contact us if you have any questions at 7032271400 or via email (click our names).
