Unit 4 Fractions Part 1

In this unit, students deepen their understandings of fraction concepts. These concepts include modeling fractions, naming and writing fractions, and comparing fractions. In Quarter 3, students will revisit these concepts and begin to explore adding and subtracting fractions with like denominators.

• MTH.G3.2.a Name and write fractions and mixed numbers represented by a model. 
• MTH.G3.2.b Represent fractions and mixed numbers with models and symbols. 
• MTH.G3.2.c Compare fractions having like and unlike denominators, using words and symbols (>, <, =, or ≠), with models.
