Grade 2 Math Unit 5 Base 10 Concept Pt 2
Unit 5 Base Concept Part 2
Content Emphasis/ Big Ideas
In this unit, students extend their understanding of two-digit place value to three-digit place values. They read and write three-digit numbers, demonstrating an understanding of the value of each digit in the number. They use their knowledge of place value to compare three-digit numbers. Teachers should revisit rounding two-digit numbers through estimation activities, especially for students that had difficulty during Unit 1. Students also revisit numeric patterns.
