In this unit, students investigate strategies to use when solving addition and subtraction problems with sums to 10. This is a chance for students to develop an understanding of the meanings for addition and subtraction with sums to 10. To further develop their understanding of composing and decomposing numbers. Students also learn about the equal sign and the concept of equality.
