Unit 3 Whole Number Computation

Content Emphasis/ Big Ideas

In this unit, students investigate properties and rules that govern the way in which numbers operate (i.e., distributive property of multiplication over addition and the order of operations) and refine and extend understandings of division of whole numbers to use understanding of computation and properties to solve multistep problems.
