Content Emphasis/ Big Ideas

In this unit, students will use reasoning skills to compare and order integers.  They will identify real world examples that involve negative and positive numbers.  Students will be able to represent a contextual situation using a linear inequality and matching it to a graphed inequality.

  • 6.NS.2 The student will reason and use multiple strategies to represent, compare, and order integers. 
  • 6.PFA.4 The student will represent a contextual situation using a linear inequality in one variable with symbols and graphs on a number line.
